As FrogWatch USA Chapter Coordinators, Grand Valley Zoological Quest is proud to be part of the Association for Zoos & Aquariums' (AZA) flagship citizen science program.   GVZQ FrogWatch USA teaches individuals, families, and organizations about the importance of wetlands within our communities while providing scientific integrity in data collection and reporting procedures for amphibian conservation.   Frogs and toads play an important role in wetland ecosystems, as predator and prey, which have experienced dramatic decreases in populations globally.  As high indicators of environmental health it is imperative that scientists understand the scope, geographic scale, and cause for the declines in frog and toad populations.
